A key part of the role is capturing the “why” behind each organisation’s mahi and the impact they create, so we can accurately reflect their operational context and share this with potential volunteers. You’ll connect with organisations in the way that suits you, online, by phone, or in person, and as we reopen our Ōtaki place‑based offering, you’ll also have local spaces available in Ōtaki to meet kanohi ki te kanohi or to base yourself from as we build awareness of our local support.

Requirements:
  • Great communication skills and confident in talking to people one on one.
  • Friendly and confident talking with a diversity of people.
  • Good understanding of the philosophy of volunteering and ideally some knowledge of the Kapiti Community Sector
  • Good degree of computer literacy.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • Weekly operating hours: 9.30am–2pm
  • Flexible hours to suit the organisation and your own timetable
  • Maximum 4 hours per day, which you can split as needed
