The much-loved Kāpiti Strawberry Festival is back and we need awesome volunteers like you to help make it a sweet success! This iconic community event is a fun-filled day for the whole family, packed with delicious treats, entertainment, games, and that famous strawberries and ice cream, all in support of Mary Potter Hospice.

Whether you can spare a couple of hours or the whole day, every helping hand makes a difference.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Setting up and packing down (6am – 8am and/or 3pm – 5pm)
  • Selling strawberries and ice-cream (2-hour shifts between 9:30am – 3pm)
  • Running children’s games (2-hour shifts between 9:30am – 3pm)
  • Helping on the BBQ stall (2-hour shifts between 9:30am – 3pm)
  • Selling Mary Potter Hospice merchandise (2-hour shifts between 9:30am – 3pm)
  • Traffic and site management, and general event support (varied 2 hour shifts between 6am – 3pm)

You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team making a real difference for your community, and you’ll have plenty of fun while doing it!

Requirements:
  • No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm and a smile
  • Flexible shifts – choose what time and role suits you best
  • Support a great cause – all proceeds go to Mary Potter Hospice
Time commitment:

Saturday 15th November, 2 hour shifts available between 6am and 3pm.
Shifts 9.30am - 11.30am, 11.30am - 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 3pm.
