That people in our communities who need palliative care have access to compassionate and quality care, when and where they need it. The Hospice’s focus is the individual, not their illness. We provide a number of services that support the physical, social and emotional needs of our patients and their families or whānau, including: Biography service, Counselling, Day Unit, Massage therapy, Music therapy, Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Social work and Spiritual care.
Retail Shop Assistant for Mary Potter Hospice.The retail shops are a major fundraiser for Mary Potter Hospice and the volunteer retail assistant role is to prepare and sell goods donated to our shops so that valuable funding is provided for the Hospice.

This role is to support Day Hospice Staff and establish a therapeutic environment in the Mary Potter Hospice Day Unit by assisting with practical tasks, meeting the comfort needs of patients and assisting to implement the day programme activities
