Work Ready Kāpiti is seeking friendly, professional volunteers to help assess local rangatahi as they complete the Kāpiti Work Ready Passport - a practical work readiness programme delivered in local colleges across the Kāpiti Coast.

Upcoming events:
Ōtaki College – Monday 1 September
Paraparaumu College – Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 September

As a volunteer interviewer, you’ll sit one-on-one with students and guide them through their completed Kāpiti Work Ready Passport workbook at local colleges. The workbook covers ten key work-readiness areas, such as communication, teamwork, life skills and workplace health and safety. You’ll ask questions about their answers, assess their responses, and record scores and constructive comments on a marking sheet. Your feedback is an important part of the process - it helps students understand their strengths and areas to grow, and provides useful insights for their schools.

Interviews are 30 minutes long with a 5-minute break in between. There will be multiple interviews scheduled and we normally ask volunteers to commit to the full session if possible. You'll be fully supported with printed materials, an on-site WRK team member, and refreshments will be provided. Interview days are held during school hours at various local colleges, and you’ll receive a calendar invite with the full schedule and location details in advance.

Join us in empowering the next generation of Kāpiti’s workforce!
