• General gardening including tidying and weeding
• Keeping the green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter
• If required, provide guidance to staff on matters related to the garden
• Will need to provide own gardening tools
• May from time-to-time be asked to collaborate with Lions Club (who are responsible for all the trimming, pruning and using the leaf blower / blower vac)
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer shifts completed by logging hours in Better Impact (online volunteer management system)

Requirements:

• Interest in gardening and general knowledge of plants and weeds
• A love of the outdoors and plant life
• Owns gardening tools required to carry out basic gardening tasks
• Self-motivated and can work unsupervised
• Reliable and responsible
• Physically able to do gardening work
• Acts with integrity and respects patient and family confidentiality

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

2-3 hours per fortnight or as required
