Foodbank Packing Helpers

Help your local Foodbank in a fun and practical way! The Kāpiti Rotary are running their annual Foodbank Drive on Saturday 25th May and we are looking for helpers to unpack, sort and re-package the donated food once it gets delivered to the sorting site at Coast Community Church in Paraparaumu. If you can spare a few hours on Saturday 25th May we would love to hear from you! This collection will help restock the Kāpiti Foodbank shelves for the busy winter months ahead!
Please wear comfortable closed shoes as you will be standing (NO OPEN TOED shoes for health & safety reasons) and water bottles are recommended. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Requirements:

Able to work on your feet for 2 to 3 hours and lift boxes of food (some can contain maximum 30 cans).
Older children welcome, but under 14 years old must be actively supervised by an accompanying parent or adult.

Time commitment:

2 hour shifts available:
Saturday 25th May 10.30am to 12.30pm, 12.30pm to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
The need for volunteers is greater in the afternoon as that is when the majority of the food is delivered. Please indicate your availability in the "Other Information" box below.
