Birthright Kāpiti supports one parent families in the Kāpiti community. A number of their clients are self employed/ contractors / delivery drivers who need some assistance with preparing and lodging their tax returns. If you have experience completing tax returns and you'd like to help others who are struggling to navigate the paperwork, we would love to hear from you! You can meet with the clients at the Birthright Kāpiti offices on Rimu Road.

There is also a possibility to run a group session with clients would like to attend about how to manage their taxes.

Requirements:

Experienced in managing tax returns.
You don't need to be an accountant or book-keeper. You will be helping the clients to do their own tax return, not lodging it on their behalf.
Friendly and patient.

Time commitment:

Flexible short-term role, ideally you can start ASAP.
