Birthright Kāpiti Inc

Birthright Kapiti is a charitable trust and has been serving the Kapiti Coast for the last 30 years. Birthright Kapiti provides free social work services for those parenting alone, with a child under 16 years old, and who live from Paekākāriki to Peka Peka. We believe it takes a village to raise a child. Our qualified and experienced staff will be a part of that village and walk alongside you on your journey, to enhance your resilience, providing support as required. Birthright Kapiti is run by a board of volunteers. It is also supported by the opportunity shop, again run by volunteers and a part time shop manager. This shop allows funds to be raised for the work of the social workers, but also allows donations to go directly out to the people in the community who are in need immediate and practical support.
