Ngā Manu Easter Weekend Celebrations - hosts and volunteers needed

We are looking for volunteers to help with Easter celebrations at Ngā Manu. There's lots of activities focused on family fun including an egg hunt, face painting, a BBQ sausage sizzle, and lots of other activities.

Volunteer help is needed for:

  • "Egg" and "rock"" hiders: Ensure there are plenty of colourful rocks hidden around the pathway of the forest walk for children to find.
  • Carparking Assistants: From 10am-2pm to greet visitors and help them to park safely with optimum efficiency in car park.
  • Easter Hub Assistants: Swap rocks for chocolate eggs, swap large eggs for a lucky dip draw, replenish the colouring competition
  • Food Assistants: Be a BBQ sausage expert and sell the best sausages in bread or roll ice creams.
  • Easter Kiwi and minder: Wear the Kiwi costume and pose with children for selfies and family photos, or help look after the kiwi by volunteering as it's Minder.
Requirements:

Friendly and reliable. You should be good with children and happy to help roll your sleeves up to help with whatever is going on. We'll ensure you are fully briefed including health and safety.

Time commitment:

We have split the four days into morning and afternoon shifts (3 April Good Friday to 6 April Easter Monday). Let us know if you're offering to give us support in the morning 9am to 1pm, or afternoon 12.30 to 4pm
