Would you like to help an older person with dementia to maintain their independence? We are looking for a shopping companion to pick up our Paraparaumu Beach client and take him to the supermarket, so he can buy groceries and essential items. As a shopping companion you will assist the man with their shopping needs while helping to maintain their sense of independence and belonging within their community.

Requirements:

Patient and friendly, some experience of people with mild dementia would be useful.
Full driving license required and a car with full vehicle insurance and up to date WOF.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Flexible, once a week or fortnight at a time that is suitable for both the volunteer and the client.
