Our Kiwi Night Encounter guides give small groups an introductory talk about the secret lives of our precious kiwi and then takes visitors to our behind-the-scenes kiwi breeding enclosure for a close-up experience.
Kiwi Night Encounters run every night from Thursday to Sunday at dusk. Full training is given, and guides always work in pairs.
Guides must have a genuine interest in kiwi conservation, be responsible and reliable and confident speaking to small groups. Previous tour experience, paid or volunteer, would be a definite advantage, as would a genuine desire to learn new skills and be part of a team doing great things for our community.
Hours change depending on the season and ideally you could assist once a week or fortnight.
