Do you enjoy supporting people and making them feel comfortable? We are looking for compassionate individuals to welcome and engage with our day visitors (people with mild cognitive decline/dementia) at our centre in Raumati. Home4All is a community project where people can enjoy their time with at this home-based centre, feel supported and respected and have a meaningful day participating in activities that are important to them. We function as a group, together we make our own coffee, cakes, lunches. In this role you will be welcoming our visitors as they arrive, ensuring they are set up for their day of activities, which can include gardening, workshop, looking after animals and arts and craft.

Requirements:

Emotionally, physically and mentally resilient. Positive and friendly. Practical, supportive, with the ability to work within the routines of the home.

Non-judgmental attitude to others. Previous exposure to people with Dementia would be helpful, but is not a necessity

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Morning or Afternoon sessions available (or choose a full day 9.30am to 4.30pm) on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
