Are you passionate about New Zealand native wildlife? Do you enjoy being part of a team, love being immersed in nature and want to make a difference to your community? We are looking for volunteers to assist Nga Manu's rangers with food preparation for our native birds and reptiles, as well as keeping them well maintained by cleaning their enclosures.

Our volunteers are a vital part of Ngā Manu and we would love your support. We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, and have different roles depending on your skills, experience, availability and fitness.

Requirements:

Volunteers should have good observation skills and be able to follow basic recipes. You must be over 15 years old to apply and acceptance is dependent on a satisfactory police check.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Four hour shifts any day of the week except Thursday
