You will be the face of Nga Manu welcoming our visitors. The role includes explaining what to see and do at Ngā Manu, selling admissions and merchandise, adding real value by offering and upselling tours, experiences and programmes. There are also general duties such as retail display, ensuring the visitor centre is presented in a clean and tidy fashion, and maintaining our visitor facilities including bathrooms when required.

This is supporting our role that can make a real difference in a leading conservation-based charity on the Kapiti Coast.

An induction to the organisation will be provided and training on using the till, Eftpos and restocking of shop provided, as well as on-going support.

A background in retail sales would be highly advantageous.

Requirements:

Great customer service and retail sales experience, with computer and money handling and general admin skills is expected to successfully contribute in this role. Reliability, and flexibility to work different days as needed, are expected. So are a passion for conservation and an ease in dealing with our visitors.

Time commitment:

We have shifts available weekdays Wednesday through Sunday inclusive. Hours are from 9.30 through to mid afternoon.
