Our events would not be able to happen without the wonderful care and mahi of our volunteer ushers. They come from all walks of life with an enthusiasm for the arts and Kāpiti community. We could not function without our volunteers who take care of our audience and guests during
our events. They are such a reliable group of people that really do show up when they are needed and go above and beyond for our audiences.
The volunteer group ranges from students from Kāpiti College to retirees and everyone in between. All who have shown up for the audiences with enthusiasm to be there to support the local community's arts and events.
As the Front of House manager I only recently took this position about 5 weeks ago and the volunteers have been so kind, and understanding as I have taken over the organisation of their roster and training.
It takes a special group of people to look after our range of audiences and to be able to work together when they come from totally different walks of life. This group of volunteer ushers are the truly a special part of the fabric that allows Te Raukura ki Kāpiti to run.
