Art For Kāpiti - Volunteer Story Celebration 2024

Art for Kapiti is a team of 3 who support artists, especially new artists, who need somewhere to display their art. Art for Kāpiti run the Vintage Village Art Gallery in Raumati Beach. It is expensive to set up - buying products to produce and present art, building up stock, so being able to display art in the Vintage Village Art Gallery provides that initial and ongoing support. Hiring Gallery space can be extremely expensive, so not having to pay these additional costs enables artists such as myself to exhibit work.

Most art groups require payment to join - not Art for Kāpiti. A number of art groups will not allow certain artists to join ie photographers. Art for Kapiti allow all types of art - giving help and support through all stages of the artists' journey. The gallery they run is in a cafe - Art for Kāpiti decorated the gallery area and set up a professional rail system. They do not charge commission on sales (the cafe does).
