Christmas Giftwrapper - Coastlands

Coastlands Shopping Centre has run a Christmas gift wrapping service for shoppers for several years, with Volunteer Kāpiti volunteers helping out. This year, Volunteer Kāpiti is taking on hosting and running the whole service ourselves — which is why we're looking for more volunteers than ever to join the team. Shoppers bring us their presents, we wrap them beautifully, and in return we invite a koha (donation) that goes directly towards Volunteer Kāpiti's work supporting volunteers and community groups across the Kāpiti Coast.

As a Wrapper, you'll work at one of the wrapping stations alongside a small team, wrapping gifts neatly and efficiently while having a laugh and getting into the Christmas spirit. You'll be trained before your first shift, so no experience is necessary, just a friendly attitude and a willingness to learn.

This is a great role for volunteers of any age, including rangatahi looking to build confidence talking with the public, retirees wanting a sociable seasonal role, and anyone in between. Shifts are short (2–3 hours), so it's an easy way to fit volunteering around work, school, or other commitments.
