Every community organisation runs on good information, and Volunteer Kāpiti is no different. When our records are accurate and our systems are tidy, we can connect volunteers with the right opportunities, report to funders with confidence, and serve our member organisations well.
As Administration Support Champion, your mahi makes that possible. You'll work in short, focused shifts doing meaningful behind-the-scenes work that has real impact on our hapori. No experience in the community sector is needed, just a willingness to learn and an eye for detail.
On a typical shift, you might:
• Enter volunteer and member data accurately into our database (Connect platform)
• Update contact details, membership records, and volunteer role listings
• Help collate monthly volunteering statistics for reporting purposes
• Update and maintain content on the Volunteer Kāpiti website
• Check and tidy records to ensure information is current and correct
• Flag any errors, gaps, or questions to the team
• Follow privacy and confidentiality guidelines when handling personal information
• Process Police Vetting applications accurately and confidentially (training provided)
• Support with Administration team with preparing documents for posting or reporting purposes

Shifts run for 2 to 4.5 hours during working hours. We'll work with you to find times that suit. This is an ongoing role with flexible scheduling.
