Join the Volunteer Kāpiti team connecting volunteers with community organisations from Paekākāriki through to Ōtaki. This role involves interviewing potential volunteers, exploring their skills and interests, and connecting them with suitable opportunities. You’ll also follow up with both volunteers and organisations to ensure referrals are completed, along with general office and admin tasks as needed.
As part of reopening our Ōtaki place‑based offering, we’ll be utilising local spaces in Ōtaki for people to connect kanohi ki te kanohi while we build awareness of our local support. You’ll also have the flexibility to meet with volunteers and organisations online via Microsoft Teams or by phone, ensuring support is accessible across the district.
This is a rewarding role where you help people discover their volunteer passion and purpose, while building relationships with community organisations across Kāpiti. There are also opportunities to be involved in other Volunteer Kāpiti projects.
Full training and ongoing support are provided, and you’ll be part of a warm, supportive team environment.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
