We’re gearing up for our annual civil defence exercise, and this year it’s going to be bigger than ever.
We need one-off volunteers to help us practice how Civil Defence and the local council works with the community after a major disaster, like a tsunami.
No special skills required, just come as yourself.
We need people to fill a range of roles on the day, including:
• Community members affected by a disaster
• Helpers at the Community Emergency Hub
• Setting up a Community Emergency Water Station
We’ll give you all the instructions you need, no acting skills required. You won’t need to pretend to be distressed or injured.
It’s an important practice but we keep it a fun, relaxed environment AND you will get a light lunch!
If you’re free and keen to help, RSVP by 20th October. Come along and be part of keeping our community ready and prepared.
Reliable and available on Thursday 20th November 12pm to 3pm
No acting skills required. You won’t need to pretend to be distressed or injured!
When: Thursday, 20th November 2025, 12 – 3 pm (flexible if you can’t stay the whole time)
