Dance Workshop Support

At Kāpiti Groovers, we believe in the power of movement and dance to uplift and connect. Our workshops are designed for young people (6+) with health conditions or impairments that might make mainstream classes less accessible.
In a fun, inclusive space, Groovers can explore dance in their own way — from lyrical and contemporary to upbeat pop and groovy moves, there’s something for everyone!
Guided by manaakitanga (respect), whanaungatanga (connection), and ako (learning), we celebrate individuality and encourage each dancer to shine in their own unique style. Our sessions are welcoming, high-energy space for young people with disabilities to come together, connect, and enjoy movement and dance.

We are looking for volunteers join our supportive whānau to assist at the sessions and help create a positive and encouraging atmosphere - let’s move, learn, and groove together!
