Treasurer

Ōtaki Heritage is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique heritage, culture, and history of Ōtaki and the surrounding region. They are looking for a new Treasurer to join their governance team. The Treasurer is a key participant of the Board of Trustees meetings and is responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting monthly to the Board, and annually to Charities Services.

Requirements:

Accounting knowledge and familiarity with Xero required. A team player, willing to take on the occasional administrative task as well as the organisation’s finances. An interest in the history of Ōtaki area would be an advantage. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Flexible but need to be able to attend the monthly Board meeting at the Ōtaki Museum which is held at 10am on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
