Age Concern Workshop Assistant

Support Age Concern Kāpiti to hold their popular workshops for older people. Age Concern Kāpiti host informative workshops for older people in the Kāpiti region, covering a range of topics such as Downsize to Move; Moving to a Retirement Village; as well as informative topics on Advanced Care Planning; Making a Will and Enduring Power of Attorney.

We are looking for a volunteer to support them as a Workshop Assistant. In this role you will help set up the workshop venue, greet and welcoming attendees and assist with morning or afternoon tea.
Workshops are held in Paraparaumu, Waikanae and Ōtaki. You can choose the location most convenient to you (subject to availability).

Requirements:

Friendly, patient and enjoying being around older people.
Able to set up tables and chairs at the venue.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

2 to 3 hours a month. Workshop times are to be confirmed but will be during working hours (but not Wednesdays)
