Coast Access Radio is your local not-for-profit community radio station. Our broadcasting facilities in Waikanae and Levin allow individuals and groups to make radio broadcasts and podcasts, by, for and about themselves and their communities.
A high proportion of our equipment and resources are either reaching their use by date or in desperate need of an upgrade. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to pay for these necessary replacements/upgrades from our day-to-day finances.
Therefore, our only option is to seek funding from national, regional and local funding organisations, to enable us to continue providing a broadcasting platform for our local communities in Horowhenua and on the Kapiti Coast.
We need someone who can step straight into this role with little guidance from ourselves, having suitable experience in the process of grant funding, ranging from equipment upgrades to operational costs, to one-off projects, to salary providers.
You also need to have a good working knowledge of the major national funders and those located in the Kapiti Coast and Horowhenua regions, as well as how and when to seek relevant quotes for the funding applications.
The expectation of this role would be at least two funding applications completed a month,
Ideally, we would like you to base yourself in our Waikanae office a couple of times a week, as most of the information required for completing the funding applications is held on-site. We can offer an office space Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, anytime between 9.30am and 2.30pm.
