Hope Housing Trust is a registered charitable trust working to provide safe, warm, affordable, and stable housing for people experiencing mental health challenges.

We are currently strengthening our governance capacity as we continue to develop and expand our housing kaupapa.

As Secretary / Trustee, you will play an important governance role supporting the effective operation of the Board. This includes helping coordinate meetings, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, maintaining records, and supporting clear and well-organised governance processes.

This role helps ensure the Board operates effectively and decisions are properly recorded and followed through.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience as a Board Secretary or in governance/administration preferred
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Interest in mental health and/or social housing
  • A high level of reliability in meeting commitments, and accuracy in preparing and maintaining governance records
  • A genuine commitment to supporting safe, stable housing in the community
Requirements:
  • Experience in mental health, social housing, governance, or related fields (preferred but not essential)
  • Willingness to contribute at governance level
  • A Police background check is required

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Monthly Board meetings held on Wednesdays at 6:00pm
