Board Member

Are you an experienced Board Member/Trustee? Do you have a passion for safe, secure housing in our community? Use your experience to help shape the future of this new Housing Trust! As a Board Member of the Hope Housing Trust, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the organisation's vision and mission to provide affordable, safe housing solutions for individuals dealing with mental health challenges on the Kāpiti Coast. In this role, you will contribute your expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to advancing the organisation's goals, help determine the Organisation’s Mission and Purpose and ensure the organisation meets internal policies and the legal requirements.

  • Previous governance experience in a community organisation
  • A passion for safe, secure housings for people with mental health challenges
  • Ideally some experience in a mental health field, either at governance level or in a work context.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Meetings are held monthly on a Wednesday evening from 7pm. Some hours required outside of the meeting time.
