Do you love to garden? In particular to grow plants from seed? Help others to learn some basic gardening and seed production skills at our Ōtaki based centre. The Shed Project has been involved in providing training and employment opportunities for local disabled and disadvantaged people in Kāpiti since 2014. They now have a site in Ōtaki and are offering programmes to differently-abled students based out of the Ōtaki-Māori Racing Club.
If you a love and some knowledge of gardening and would like to share this with others, we would love to hear from you. Voucher available for reimbursement towards travel costs.

Requirements:

Friendly and patient. Experience in gardening and gowning plants from seed.
Ideally some experience working with people of varying degrees of intellectual disability.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Wednesdays 9.30am to 12pm
