Do you love to bake and cook? Help others learn and enjoy this skill! We are looking for a friendly Baking and Cooking Tutor to teach baking recipes and cook a simple meal with our small group of differently-abled students on a weekly basis on Thursdays from 9.30am to approx. 12pm. The Shed Project has been involved in providing training and employment opportunities for local disabled and disadvantaged people in Kāpiti since 2014. They now have a site in Ōtaki and are offering programmes to differently-abled students based out of the Ōtaki-Māori Racing Club.
Enjoy a shared lunch with the group after the class. Voucher available for reimbursement towards travel costs.

Requirements:

Friendly and patient. Experience baking and cooking simple recipes.
Ideally some experience working with people of varying degrees of intellectual disability.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Thursday 9.30am to 12pm
