Here is your opportunity to help older people in practical way. Van Drivers are required to collect clients from their home and transport them to our Day Programme in Paraparaumu, and back again in the afternoon in a provided van. The volunteer will need to assist the clients in and out of the vehicle and ensure they are belted in correctly. The Day programme helps elders living in the community enjoy companionship and stay mentally and physically active. It also offers family carers an opportunity to take a break while their loved ones are busy having fun.

Requirements:

Good communication skills and comfortable around older people. Full, clean drivers licence required.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Shifts available Monday and Friday from 9am to 10.30am and/or 3pm to 4.30pm.
