Kāpiti Coast United (KCU) is looking for a volunteer to organise food for home and away teams on match days. KCU is an association football club - one of the largest football clubs in the Wellington region, with senior teams in the Kāpiti Horowhenua league and over 500 junior members. Our home ground is at Weka Park, Raumati Beach.
KCU is looking for a volunteer to work with the Club to ensure that food is available during and after games for players from home and away teams, and their supporters and spectators. Our winter season runs from April through to September, and the volunteer would be needed on Saturday afternoons, with the odd Sunday afternoon also. Food would be needed to be available from 1-7pm. Our Summer season runs from October to February and is Friday nights only from 6-8.30
The KCU clubroom has full kitchen facilities for the preparation of hot and cold food. We need someone who can either work on premises to prepare food supplied by KCU, or alternatively supply the food with KCU reimbursing the cost. The Catering Organiser would work with the Bar and Kitchen Manager on site, making sure our players and others can relax after their games with a range of refreshments to enhance their game day experience. This role would suit someone living locally who has some involvement with the Club already, or someone who would like to get to know people in the area by being part of this friendly, vibrant Club.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
