Kāpiti Coast United (KCU) is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to work with our Management Committee and drive engagement of our amazing volunteers.
KCU is one of the largest football clubs in Wellington, New Zealand, with senior teams in the Kāpiti Horowhenua league and over 500 junior members. Our home ground is Weka Park in Raumati Beach on the Kapiti Coast.
The Volunteer Co-ordinator is responsible to the Management Committee. Their role is to drive engagement of Club volunteers and facilitate involvement in Club activities. Our members/parents are asked when they register whether they would be prepared to help out, and in 2023 130 people said yes. The role involves :
• Working with the Club Administrator to identify, cultivate and manage a team of volunteers prepared to contribute to events and activities – including existing
• Ensuring appropriate recognition is given for volunteer time and contribution
• Prior to monthly meeting – what events are coming up? What help will be needed? What events have happened since last meeting? Who needs to be recognised for their efforts?
• Organise an annual Volunteers event.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
