Walking Companion

Walking and meeting people are a great way to be part of the community. Accompany an older person on a walk and make a difference in their life. The Companion Walking Service provides one to one assistance for people who find walking on their own difficult or would like a companion to walk with.

Because continuity and building rapport is an important aspect of the role, we are looking for both men and women who can commit to at least six months of walking with their older person. If you are friendly and understanding of the needs of older people, then come and see us. You will experience the satisfaction of making a difference in someone’s life.

Full training and ongoing support are provided. Our clients are based in Paraparaumu and Waikanae.
