Ongoing or Summer Casual Volunteer Roles available - adults and young people/rangatahi over 16 years encouraged to apply
Do you have a passion for reducing food poverty and waste in our Community? This food rescue organisation are looking for volunteers to work in teams of 2 to 6 people, to make sure that donated food is quality checked, sorted, recorded and stored, ready to distribute to our community partners who are supporting whānau experiencing food insecurity. Full training provided.

Requirements:
  • Collaborative, friendly people, able to work independently after training as well as part of a team.
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy boxes of 15 kgs.
  • Need to be careful with weighing and recording information on a computer.
  • Aged 16 years old or over.
  • All volunteers need to complete our Health and Safety Site Induction before starting volunteer shifts.
Time commitment:
  • 1-2 volunteer shifts per fortnight or per week, depending on your availability/preference.

  • Volunteer shifts currently run: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 1pm to 2.30pm (approx end time)

  • Group Health and Safety Site Induction: Thursday 20th November, 12.20-2.30pm. Please apply through the Volaby application link, and sign up to a group induction. (N.B. we will hold more inductions in the new year)
