Join the Volunteer Kapiti team connecting volunteers with community organisations throughout the Paekākāriki to Ōtaki. This role involves interviewing potential volunteers, discussing their skills and attributes and connecting them to suitable opportunities. Following up both volunteers and organisations to ensure referral is completed and any other general office and admin work, as required. This is a rewarding role for someone who where you get to help people to find their volunteer passion and purpose, while also connecting with community organisations across Kapiti. There is also the opportunity to be involved in other Volunteer Kāpiti projects. We provide full training with ongoing support in a great team environment.

Requirements:
  • Great communication skills and confident in talking to people one on one.
  • Friendly and confident talking with a diversity of people.
  • Good understanding of the philosophy of volunteering and ideally some knowledge of the Kapiti Community Sector
  • Good degree of computer literacy.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Weekly on Thursday 9.30am - 2pm in Paraparaumu.
