Visit an older person in their home once a week for a visit of at least an hour. This social interaction helps reduce the social isolation and loneliness for the person, and is purely social in focus. The organisation is looking for both men and women who are able to commit to long-term (at least 6 months) visiting as continuity and relationship building is a valuable aspect of the role. There is flexibility around the weekly time commitment so if you are interested with a friendly and empathetic attitude for life then come and see us! The short training sessions will give you accreditation and you will receive ongoing support.
