Do you enjoy interacting with older people? We are looking for a volunteer to assist with our day activities programme for older people, helping to keep things fresh and fun, and creating a space for connection with others.
Our Day programme helps elders living in the community enjoy companionship and stay mentally and physically active. It also offers family carers an opportunity to take a break while their loved ones are busy having fun.
In this role you will be assisting with crafts, playing cards and games, gentle exercises and other organised activities. You will also help setting and clearing tables at lunchtime.
On the job support and training provided.

Requirements:

Comfortable with older people and those with memory challenges.
Friendly, welcoming and patient.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Mondays 9.45am to 1pm
