Join Whakarongotai Marae Trustees and Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai for their Waitangi Commemorations, 10am–5pm on Saturday 3 February.
This free community event is open to all and will begin with a mihi whakatau on the marae – please gather at the marae gates at 9.30am. This will be followed by kapa haka, entertainment, historical storytelling, and activities for tamariki, with high tea and hāngī available for a koha. There'll also be food trucks and stalls throughout the day.
Stalls include a Capable Sector Project stall. The Capable Sector Project is coordinated by Volunteer Kāpiti and Kāpiti Impact Trust. The project aim is to build the capability of organisations delivering community and social services in Kāpiti. We would love to share with you our progress so far and hear from you about what you would like to see for our Kāpiti community and social services sector.
