Once upon a time…Storytelling for impact and influence
The stories of the people who come through your organisation and the work they do can be profound and moving. The stories of lives that are changed, in big and small ways, hold intrinsic value. These stories and the meaning behind them, are often the reason we do what we do.
But is your community organisation making the most of these stories and sharing them with the world? Or are these critical pieces of qualitative data being told in passing and then lost? If you want to increase your visibility, funding, stakeholder engagement and recruitment, using the best of what you already have: tell good stories. Stories are memorable, moving, engaging and they influence behaviour.
In this interactive storytelling workshop, we will use accessible and fun exercises to explore:
• Simple tools to structure an engaging story
• Keys to a compelling story
• Practice storytelling in a supportive environment
• Explore how to capture and record stories inside your organisation
• Plan when and where to use storytelling to achieve your goals
Bring your curiosity, your experience, a story or two and let's play.
