Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu – National Volunteer Week honours the collective energies and mana of volunteers in Aotearoa. They grow our people, open minds, open hearts and create joy.
This year’s theme is Whiria te tangata – Weave the people together. Volunteering weaves us together, strengthening the fabric of our community.
To celebrate National Volunteer Week we are running our Volunteer Story Celebration! Do you know an amazing team of volunteers in Kāpiti? Maybe you are part of one? Tell us about the difference they make in Kāpiti by nominating them in our Volunteer Story Celebration for This Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu National Volunteer Week nominate here
You can also nominate a team by sending us a short video clip celebrating your volunteers. Email info@volunteerkapiti.org.nz to find out how to submit a video.
Share your volunteer story with us before 31st May and we will recognise every team during National Volunteer Week (16th – 22nd June). One lucky team will win café/morning tea celebration (All nominations will receive a certificate and chocolates). Stories will be shared via our website, social media and maybe shared in local newspapers throughout National Volunteer Week. Entries close 31st May 2024.
Though sharing volunteer stories, we want everyone to recognise the difference volunteers make in our community, inspire more people to volunteer and celebrate the collective mahi aroha that supports our Kāpiti community.
