This year’s theme, Be Bold. Make Change, celebrates the courage and leadership of volunteer managers who champion positive change, uplift others, and create environments where volunteering can truly flourish.

So, how might your organisation take bold steps to better support, celebrate, or strengthen your volunteer leadership?

Here are a few 30-minute ideas you can try:

• Write a handwritten thank-you card or email to your volunteer leaders.
• Add a kōrero to your next team meeting about the impact of good volunteer leadership.
• Share a short post or story on social media highlighting your volunteer leaders mahi.
• Give your volunteer leaders time and space to lead a new idea they care about.
• Host a quick morning tea to say thank you, even small acts can uplift.
