Zero Waste Ōtaki are actively committed to: Diverting waste from landfill. Pathways to employment. Community engagement and education. Our first project is Domestic Wood recycling. Aimed at repurposing “good wood” and reducing the waste into landfill. Zero Waste Ōtaki has been developed over the past 3 years by members of the Ōtaki and Kāpiti Coast Community and is run by volunteers. We are based at 1 Riverbank Road Ōtaki, beside the transfer station. We are open to the public every Wednesday 9.30-10.30am, on the last Sunday morning of the month to noon and at other times by arrangement.
