Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu – National Volunteer Week (15 - 21 June) honours the collective energies and mana of volunteers in Aotearoa. They grow our people, open minds, open hearts and create joy. This year’s theme is Whiria te tangata – Weave the people together. Volunteering weaves us together, strengthening the fabric of our community.

To celebrate National Volunteer Week 2025 we are running our annual Volunteer Story Celebration! Do you know an amazing team of volunteers in Kāpiti? Maybe you are part of one? Tell us about the difference they make in Kāpiti by nominating them here for our Volunteer Story Celebration.

Share your volunteer story with us before 23rd May and we will recognise every entry during National Volunteer Week (15 – 21 June). All nominations will be presented with a certificate of appreciation and one lucky team will win a café/morning tea celebration! Stories will be shared via our website and social media throughout National Volunteer Week. Entries close 23rd May 2025.
