Di - Volunteer Usher Te Raukura ki Kāpiti Performing Arts Centre - 2023 Volunteer Story Comp

Over the past 5 weeks I have taken on this new job Di has stood out to me with her passion for being here at Te Raukura ki Kāpiti and supporting all of the different events that we host. She has gone above and beyond, taking initiative when setting up or packing down events. While I was still learning the different tasks for my new role, I knew I could rely on Di to make sure the audience were being taken care of so I could focus on my own tasks. I was inspired to share nominate her as I truly think she is the perfect example of a volunteer and we are all lucky to have someone like her on our
team.

Di goes above and beyond every shift she is rostered on. Di is the type of volunteer that I will roster on if there are newer volunteers on as well because I know she can be a role model for them. She shows the upmost respect for the theatre and all of our audience members, picking up what needs to be done if there is an issue. Di has made herself known by our bar staff due to her consistent support with glass collection and helping
where she can. Honestly Di is one of those volunteers that are a gem to have because they are committed, enthusiastic and diligent!
