Are you passionate about supporting the community/volunteer sector? Do you have a sound knowledge in financial reporting and planning? The Volunteer Kāpiti Board would love to hear from you.

As a Treasurer for Volunteer Kāpiti you would be responsible for overseeing the organisation's financials. This includes reporting to the Board, approving payments, providing oversight for annual reporting requirements and providing guidance on investments and long-term financial sustainability for the organisation (within the context of a small-not-for-profit - Tier 3 Charities Services reporting). Our operational team manage the day to day accounts, prepare funding applications and ensure monthly xero reports are provided to support the Treasurer role. Additional support/induction will be provided by the Chair.


Experience in financial planning and writing financial reports.
Experience in xero preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of the Kāpiti Community/Volunteer Sector would be a bonus
Great team player, strategic thinker and ability to contribute to wider board discussions/projects.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

The Board meets every 6 weeks on a Wednesday at 6:30pm. Additional hours as required. Approx. 2-4 hours a month.
