As a Treasurer for Volunteer Kāpiti you would be responsible for overseeing the organisation's financials. This includes reporting to the Board, approving payments, providing oversight for annual financial reporting requirements and providing guidance on investments and long-term financial sustainability for the organisation (within the context of a small-not-for-profit - Tier 3 Charities Services reporting).
Our operational team manage the day-to-day accounts, prepare funding applications and ensure monthly xero reports are provided to support the Treasurer role. Additional support/induction will be provided by the Chair.
Experience in financial planning and writing financial reports.
Experience in xero preferred.
Knowledge of the Community/Volunteer Sector and not for profit financial requirements.
Great team player, strategic thinker and ability to contribute to wider board discussions/projects.
Approx. 8 hours a month. The Board meets every month on a Wednesday at 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
