We are piloting a mentoring programme in partnership with Mentoring Foundation New Zealand and National Strategy for Community Governance. We will be matching mentors that have relevant skills and experience with people that currently hold a community governance role in Kāpiti. Mentoring is a relationship that supports and encourages the leadership journey of individuals and their organisations.
By being a Mentor you will:
-help to increase the effectiveness of our community leaders in Kāpiti
-be part of the pilot for this programme before it is run nationally
-participate in training events and further develop your leadership skills
-be part of a leaders/governance learning network to share knowledge and grow connection
You will be fully supported by our local programme coordinator and Mentoring Foundation New Zealand.
Experience in Community Governance/Leadership
Great communication and listening skills
Motivated to help others in reach their leadership goals for their community organisation
Available for 6 Mentoring sessions with your mentor (between 1 -2 hours ) between June to December.
Orientation/training: 15th June
Mid-point check in: 14th September
