Assistant Swimming Coach

Are you a confident swimmer, wanting to use your skills to support young people and adults with an intellectual disability learn to swim in a group setting? This organisation runs swimming sessions on Sunday evenings 5pm-6pm. They have a ratio of 1:4 with people of varying ability, and there will be other volunteers working with the group so it is a very social role. There are also some weekend tournaments.


Swimming skills, and an ability to teach those skills is an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn is just as vital. You will be friendly and positive, patient, committed and reliable.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Sundays 5pm-6pm and some weekend tournaments
