Are you patient, fun-loving and motivated? Would you like to help others to take part in fun activities that boost their confidence and skills? We are looking for a male volunteer to accompany this small group (approx.7 people) of male young adults with an intellectual disability to various activities during the week. This includes walking/indoor games on Monday afternoons, horse-riding lessons in Waikanae on Thursday afternoons and swimming lessons at the Coastlands Aquatic Centre swimming pool on Friday afternoons (they can all get changed independently, however may need prompting to be faster). The group generally walks to the pool (weather dependent) and drive to Equestrian Centre in a van provided by the organisation.
Training provided on expected behaviour with clients and Health and Safety. Ongoing support and coaching available.


A full, clean drivers license and comfortable driving a van preferred. Able to motivate others while setting boundaries.
People person, fun and motivated.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Monday afternoons, Thursday and Friday afternoons (12.50pm to 3pm)
