Do you enjoy sharing your hobbies with others? We are looking for volunteers to help our residents take part in activities that interest them. Activities can include crafting, cooking, music, playing games exercising and walking or any other skills you would like to share. The role involves befriending an adult who experiences mental health difficulties and gently engaging and motivating the individual to partake in the activity (of which they already hold an interest in). Equipment can be supplied by the organisation.
Mental Health education provided and ongoing support from staff available, who will always be present onsite.
Able to gently motivate others. The centre is up a very steep drive, so you must be fit enough to be able to walk up and down this drive from the road. Mature in outlook, open to a diverse range of human experience and expression and personally well centred.
Volunteers must be fully vaccinated for COVID19 for this role.
Flexible, the centre is open 7 days a week. You can choose a day/time that suits you but must be able to commit to this time on a regular basis.
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
