Do you enjoy sharing your love of gardening with others? We are looking for a volunteer to help in our developing garden alongside our residents. The role involves befriending an adult who experiences mental health difficulties, planting and tending to plants in our small plot, weeding and keeping the area neat and tidy. We are looking for someone that can engage and motivate our resident to partake in this activity (of which they already hold an interest in). Tools and plants are supplied by the organisation.
Mental Health education provided and ongoing support from staff available, who will always be present onsite.
Basic gardening skills, able to gently motivate others. The centre is up a steep drive, so you must be fit enough to be able to walk up and down this drive from the road. Mature in outlook, open to a diverse range of human experience and expression and personally well centred.
Flexible, the centre is open 7 days a week. You can choose a day/time that suits you but must be able to commit to this time on a regular basis.
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
