Driver - Waikanae to Wellington

Here is an opportunity to really make a difference to people suffering from serious health issues. Would you like to be part of the driving service available to patients in the Waikanae area undergoing outpatient treatment? Being a volunteer driver may only take a few hours once a week, once a fortnight, or even once a month. You can choose to drive as little or as often as you like on days that suit you. Appointments are generally at Wellington Hospital and occasionally Kenepuru Hospital and free parking is available to drivers.
Training will be provided at the organisation, as well as ongoing support as required.


Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with people who may be stressed or upset. A careful and safe driver with a current full NZ drivers licence. A car with up to date full vehicle insurance and WOF.
A friendly caring manner, the ability to maintain patient confidentiality, empathy for people being treated for cancer and confidence and professionalism in challenging situations.
Drivers licence (Full).

A Police background check is required for this role.
